Hello, I am Madhura and welcome to MadhurasRecipe Marathi Let’s see how to make bread roll today. This is a very easy and simple recipe and can be made from minimum ingredients. For stuffing I have taken 2 medium size potatoes, boiled in cooker, peeled and mashed. Ginger garlic green chili paste, Coriander leaves, salt to taste, 1 tsp lemon juice, a pinch of asafoetida and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder. We will also need bread slices. And oil for frying. For stuffing I have heated just 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add hing and ginger garlic green chili paste. According to your taste. Fry for about a minute. After frying the paste turn off the gas. Nice flavour of ginger garlic and green chili!! Add turmeric powder and mix well. Do not keep the gas on. Turn it off while adding turmeric powder so that it won’t be over roasted. Add mashed potato and salt. Mix well. No need to heat it up again. Keep the gas turned off. Mashed potato may release moisture on heating. To avoid that turn off the gas and add potato in tadka. Add lemon juice and finely chopped coriander leaves. Mix well. The stuffing is already. I have taken white bread slices. To begin with let’s remove the edges of it. Try to remove the edges. Or the rolls don’t get properly sealed. So it is important to remove edges in this recipe. After removing the edges of bread take a bread slice. And flatten it a little with rolling pin. Take some water in a katori. Brush a little water on this slice. This will help to soften the bread a little. Don’t wet the bread much. Just dap a little with water. Take a spoonful of stuffing and make a roll of it. Place it at the centre of the bread. Spread a little water to all the edges of bread and seal it properly. Like so. Seal the roll by pressing it a little. Let’s make one more. Take bread and roll it. Basically flatten it. Brush a little water on it. Do not apply much water. Or bread may become soft. After doing this, Take a spoonful potato stuffing and make a roll of it. Stuff it in the bread slice and seal from all sides. Bread rolls are ready. I have heated oil for frying. Drop one by one roll in pan and fry these. Fry until these turn nice golden from all sides. Keep on turning at the intervals. These don’t take much time to fry. I have fried these rolls on medium to high heat for about 4-5 minutes. These are so crunchy!! These have got fantastic color too. Take these out. Let’s fry all the rolls in the same way.
