Hi everyone. Welcome to Sandy La Pastelera.
Today we are going to make banana bread. Let’s go to the recipe. We need 4 ripe
bananas. 125 gr of brown sugar.
70 grams of unsalted butter. 3 eggs. 225 grams of sifted cake
flour. 1 teaspoon of baking soda.
1/2 teaspoon of salt
70 grams of chopped almonds. 100 grams of 70 percent dark chocolate 1/2 teaspoon of ground allspice 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.
Now we have all our ingredients. Let’s go to the process. For the first part of the recipe. We are going to add our unsalted butter into our mixer then we
are going to add our brown sugar. We are going to mix it until it’s all
creamed and white. When we have our butter and sugar ready We are going to add the eggs one by one. Let’s add one egg. We mix it again. We scrape and we keep adding the eggs. For the next step we are going to peel
our bananas and mash them. You need this mushy bananas because they are more sweet.
Then you peel them all and we’re going to mash them. The last one so we are
going to mash all our bananas. I’m so happy that I found these bananas in South Africa because guess what They are from Ecuador. Once we have our bananas
like this we are just going to add it to the previous mix. They smell so nice.
We are going to mix it. We are going to add the salt, the baking soda. We are going to mix it on speed 1 or minimum.
Then we are going to start adding our cake flour. For the next step we are going
to mix the chocolate with the nuts, flour. I left a little bit of flour to
mix it with the nuts and the chocolate. We mix it and then we are going to
add half a teaspoon of cinnamon and half a teaspoon of ground allspice. Mix all of these together. For the last part we are going to
add some lemon zest. We are going to put our mixer on speed minimum and we are going to add our nuts and chocolate. Scrape the bowl to mix all of it nicely. It’s almost done. My banana mix is ready so now I’m just going to put it in the mould that I previously put some olive oil and flour so it doesn’t stick
to the mould. We’re going to put the banana mix in the mould.
Scrape with a spatula to take all the mix out of the bowl so you don’t waste
anything. Bake it in the bread maker. We are going to bake it for one hour and
after the hour we checked and then maybe needs another 20 minutes. The timer is done. We are going to open and see if the bread is ready. Using a knife you put it in. That’s the chocolate but you can see
that the dough needs a little bit longer. Put it back for 20 minutes. After 1 hour and 20 minutes. Our banana bread is ready so we are going to take it out of the mould. Put it on a rack to cool down and then we are going to
slice it and enjoy our banana bread. If you don’t have a bread maker. You can
just bake it in an oven at 180 °C. For 45 minutes and then you can check if
it’s ready or not. ok so now you can just take it out and that hole is from the kneader from the bread maker. We are going to let it cool down at least 30 minutes. Our banana bread is ready and has cooled down so We are going to slice it. It’s not so
cold but the smell is killing me. We are going to cut and voila. This is how
our banana bread looks like inside. Let’s cut another piece. I’m going to eat mine with
some cream cheese. Thanks very much for watching this video. If you found this video fantastic. Please like it and See you in the next video oh don’t forget to
