Hello everyone! This is Aarti Madan and you’re welcome to my channel. We’re going to make many desserts this festive season. Today, we’ll be making Instant Bread Gulab Jamun. And it will take you just 20 minutes. For this recipe, we’ll need bread, sugar, water, oil, milk, cardamom, raisins, pistachios and rose water. First, we’ll make the sugar syrup. Add water to a pan and then add sugar. Heat on medium and stir continuously till sugar dissolves This will take 2-3 minutes You can now see that the sugar has dissolved Now add crushed Cardamom Next add Rose Water – which is mandatory for Gulab Jamuns Now heat it for 5-6 mins more till it becomes sticky. We don’t want one-string consistency, however. Because in the end, we’ll heat the Gulab Jamuns in the sugar syrup again. The sugar syrup is ready now. Now take bread slices and remove the sides. Remove the sides of all the slices like this. Now cut it into pieces for making the dough. You can also grind it but cutting into pieces is equally good. Now transfer it into a wide dish and knead it with milk. Just like how you do with mawa/khoya for the regular Gulab Jamuns. Knead it well. These Instant Gulab Jamuns are really delicious. After kneading for 6-7 minutes, the dough is ready. It’s neither too hard, nor too soft. Now we’ll make small balls and stuff them with dry fruits. This is completely optional though. Just make sure that the balls are soft and don’t have any cracks. Roll it between your palms to make the balls. You can see that it’s got a really soft texture. Likewise, make balls out of the entire batch of dough. In a pan, heat oil on medium heat. You can test it by putting a small piece of the dough in it. Slowly and carefully, add all the Gulab Jamuns Use a spoon to move it around. Don’t use a big spatula as it may break the Gulab Jamuns. On medium heat, it’ll take you 3-4 mins and on low heat, it’ll take you 6-7 mins. You can see it has a light golden brown colour now. I’ll fry it some more. The Gulab Jamuns are perfectly fried now. Remove them onto a tissue paper. Aren’t these looking delicious like the traditional ones? Now transfer the Gulab Jamuns into the sugar syrup and heat for 2-3 more mins on medium heat so that they absorb all the sugar. After 2 mins turn off the heat and cover it for 2 hours.
