Today I will be making bread paneer rolls. These are great as an appetizer and a tasty compliment for afternoon tea. This is very easy and quick recipe to make. Paneer is an Indian cheese also known as chhena. This is liked by all and used in many dishes. Bread paneer rolls are made with spiced paneer
rolled in bread. This recipe will make 6. To make bread paneer rolls, we will need: 6 slices of soft white bread 1 cup of shredded paneer. This is available in Indian grocery store. 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds (jeera) Pinch of black pepper 1 teaspoon of finely shredded ginger (adrak) 1 teaspoon of finely chopped green chilli 2 tablespoons of finely chopped cilantro (hara dhania) 2 tablespoons of milk 2 tablespoons of clarified butter (ghee) First I will make paneer filling. Mix all the ingredients together. Paneer Cumin seeds Ginger Salt Black pepper Green chillies Cilantro And mix it well. So as you see, mix is very crumbly and dry. So I will put little bit milk in it. So it will be easy to spread. So use the milk as it’s needed. So just little at a time. So mix is looking good. I have used about 2 teaspoons of milk. As you see it is soft. And now I will be able to put it over the bread. Now I will trim the edges of the bread slices. Use the sharp knife to trim the bread. And this bread can be used to make the bread crust. Now I am ready to roll the bread. Roll the bread using the rolling pin into thin slices. I use white bread because you can roll them much thinner. And rolls comes out much better. One more. So as you see how thin they have become. Put about 1 tablespoon of filling. And just spread it over. In 3 quarter of the bread slice. Fingers works better. Now roll it into cylinder shape. Just roll it very tight. And put little bit water here so that way it will just stick together. Roll the another one same way. About 1 tablespoon. And roll it like a cylinder. So just put little bit water. So it will seal it really nicely. I have filled all the bread pieces. Now I am going to butter them all around. I am ready to grill the bread paneer rolls. Heat the skillet over medium heat. I like to use the flat skillet. Skillet should be moderately hot. I will just put the roll over. And just keep rolling them. Until they are golden brown from all sides. While I was trying out this recipe, my family loved it. I have already made 3 times for them and I am taking it again this evening. And like you see they are coming up very nice color. They have very nice golden color stripes. So they look beautiful. Bread rolls are ready. Looking really nice. Have a nice golden color. And I am ready to serve them. I must say bread paneer rolls are looking delicious. Serve them hot or at room temperature. Anyway you serve them they taste great.
