I am slightly hyper today, haha. Hes taken some cold flu capsule tablet things
and hes a bit drugged up. Yeah Im a bit ill Ive got flu so Ive whooooo
every now and then Im buzzing, Im like dancing around so im really sorry. If you saw my snapchat slash Instagram story
you probably already know that, Im very excited. What was in those tablets, Im like areba sorry. Today we are doing some food hacks, yes we
are Im very excited about these, how excited are you? Very, yeah you look it, not as exited as you,
Im like whooo, dont worry Im going to crash any minute now, Ill try and stay level. So you guys sent in some more off the back
of that which we are going to try out today yes we are. First hack is, not Mrs Barry, what is the
first hack how to make a Mrs Barry, were going to make a giant chocolate bowl, umm, using
a balloon. Yes thats quite a legendry hack that ive seen
for many years but never really tried it, but we are going to do that right now. Im a bit worried isnt the chocolate going
to taste all like latexy, errrh. Arrrh, first step Im balloon up a balloon
which is actually surprisingly hard when youve got flu cos you forget to breath through your
nose, can you tie knots in balloon though? I used to have a fear, what of tying knots? Cos of the banging honestly when I was like
ten upwards trying to tie a knot in a balloon I was like I cant do it, cos it going to bang? Balloons dont bang pop, Ive matured now, Ive
kind of got into it. Balloons dont pop when you tie a knot in them. See this my inner ten-year self is going Barry
you did it. Balloons ready, urh weve got some white and
dark chocolate, right? I do, Im just breaking up some dark chocolate
now. Nooooo, arh yeah, hahahaha, oh its all static
on my face. Were not going to sit in silence, were not
going to sit in peowowow, Im just doing a musical interlude while the chocolate is broken
up, this step is taking surprisingly long. Oh that handsome fella is looking at me again,
what that thing? Yeah hahaha. Do you think you could do something useful
instead of just stood there? I keep singing power ballads off camera, right
why dont you go get a baking tray and line it with a some of grease proof paper please. Baking trays are not in there, hey? Baking trays are not in there, well they should
be, well theyre not they are in the oven. Theres the evidence that Ive done it alright. Part of me is a little worried that Amy is
hoovering by that yellow balloon we might have to do another one, umm, yeah you cant
use that, well get a clean one thats got Beckys hair and a bit of pug nose on it. Umm, Im also going to adjust the shelves in
our fridge to make sure that the balloon will fit in, I feel like Im urgh. So we have a ramekin dish here and Ill balloon,
we do, were just going to sit the nippley end at the bottom, nippley end? And then Im just going to stick some tape
to kind of hold it end place like that. So its going to sit, hopefully, yep there
we go, well do one on the other side, it should hold its shape, and stand firm to attention. Good stuff Mrs Barry. Lets do one at a time, go on then, well go
for the dark chocolate first of all, Its melted but its a little bit room temperaturey, rararaey. I do believe you can sit it upside down first
of all so that you do form quite a firm base, as this is not completely warm, its not going
to run off entirely. So, were just going to make sure the top is
really well built up, youre building up a base with the dark chocolate, yeah, and you
can do one bit that sort of runs a bit extreme. So, Im just going to add a bit more on there

actually my favourite bit out of all off it, that bit there thats all dripping off, but
whay. Its a bit sad cos that yellow balloon is like that could have been me and now Im
on the floor. That is looking amazing, Barrys just going to put it in the fridge, yeah,
very carefully, high pressure job right now, dont drop it let me open the door. Its going
in the fridge, its going in, well come back to this right at the end of the video. That
was pretty scary, you know what it looks like a cobweb, looks like a cobweb. So are next
one is, Jesus, you scared me, are next one is eggcellent, yay, thats obviously an egg
pun, yes Ive been hanging around with you too much, yeah yeah. So we all do it you crack
an egg get it your the dish and then theres egg shell in it. Eggshellant, eggshellant,
haha I havent done that one before, ever no. These drugs, dam these drugs. Have you been
eating the chocolate? I havent been eating the chocolate, you have you got white chocolate
on your face really? Yeah or just go like that, arh, sorry, now theres a lot of shell
in there, no. So we have now washed our hands and the hack was about using wet fingers to
pull out bits of shell, so obviously Mrs Barry cracked that egg pretty badly so theres just
shell everywhere so weve taken the big chunks out were looking for those tini ones that
you normally get right? Yeah that are really really tricky to find, and there are some
in there. Yep I can see two. So apparently the hack is that you just use wet fingers
and thumbs and normally if you, look Ill try and do it yeah with my, Ill have dry hands,
go in then, look honestly, impossible it is like, I cant even feel it, but you know what
its like its like glue in there youre gripping it and its I dont know you cant get it. So
apparently by wetting your fingers, let me go this then Id wet your fingers and thumb,
oh its warm, has it got to be warm or can it be cold? Does it matter if its warm or
cold? No I dont think so. Ready, yeah, lets go, there is a tini speck, thats cold, no
your supposed to grab it, oh huh, you got it? Yes, oh my gosh that was so easy, hold
that up let me see let me see, that was so easy honestly you couldnt feel the like gudgeyness
of the egg at all. You got to pinch it, oh there we go pinch it, wow. Now that is not
a fencing mask that Mrs Barry is fashioning there, um thats actually a kitchen gadget
that weve got, Ive not ever shown it on a kitchen gadget video because a lot of people
tend to have them, yeah, Ive found that quite a bit, um. I think this is one of the first
ones you ever bought, yeah it is genuinely useful. If you dont know what it is its basically
a tool that can slice and core an apple, yeah, actually sometimes a lot of the time it misses
the core, do you find that as well? Yeah I do, its like this is great and then youre
eating it and you get all the pips in your mouth yeah, but apparently you can use it
on a potato to make easy potato wedges. Before we get started on the potato hack, this is
a damp kitchen towel just straight down there like that so give it a little shimmey. Huh,
look at that we actually use that in quite a lot of our videos. That doesnt move, it
doesnt, unless you go ugh, not even now, do the miming look, dododo, acting arrh come
on. Right, any how potao gadget thing, well designed for an apple hence the apple thing
on it. Yeah and we tried to get a potato that was shaped as most like an apple as we could
yeah and thats actually quite a hard thing, it was, Ive never analysed potatoes so much
in my life. We were hunted through the poato tray, yeah, going does that look like an applpe,
no too long, ask someone excuse me have you got a potato that looks like an apple? So
if youve got a bag of potatoes cos you never get potatoes looking the same in a bag of
potatoes, thats right yeah, so maybe this hack would only work with round potatoes?
No it would work with long ones as well youd just get longer wedges. So these ends are
relatively sharp so do be careful if you are doing this, your going to put it righ in the
middle like so, and you are going to need a bit of force, here we go, errrgh. Wow, check
that out, thats so cool, so we can pull these out hopefully, if Ive pushed it down far enough,
there we go. We have got are selfs some homemade potato wedges in a flash. And do you know
what? Thats so much better than mine because theyre all equal size. Yeah which does help
them cook even cos sometimes if you go yeah Ill make even sized wedges you always get
the huge thing. And then you get this bouns core, urgh, actually remember the kitchen
gadget the apple corer that creates something like that. Put olive oil, salt and pepper
on this and these wedges bake them for about thirty minutes at the temperatures on the
screen right now, absolutely gorgeous especially this its kind of like a potato cigar. Mrs
Barry was so excited by that last potato hack that shes just foraged some more potatoes
right. I have, Ive found this small one, wow ok its kind of like a wrinkly crinkly bottom
one. Yeah you want to have a go? Yeah. I cant even push it through, put some elbow grease
in to it, put your weight on it, I need my stall, hahaha, I need my stall its like your
magic wand. Come on ready, arrh. There is that moment when you feel like you might chop
a finger off when you do that. Oh yeah look it does work, yeah, small ones. So it doesnt
matter what size potato you use, youre just going to get a lot small wedges, but again
great food hack remember to wipe the starch off, can you feel the starch on that? Yeah
I can remember to wipe that off before baking them it will make it really good. Hey Im hungry
me too, right, how are we going to cook these two pizzas at the same time? Are acting is
terrible, you could put one on the top shelf and one on the bottom shelf. You could or
you could do this hack that we are not to, were like why dont you just get two trays?
Well were going to try this out, apparently you can cook two pizzas at the same time.
Do you know what, no no no, this is good if you are trying to cook pizzas and chips or
potato wedges at the same time and youve only got two shelfs in your oven, yeah , then this
is a really really good hack for that cos I always find that when the kids are round
with. Im sulking now you cut me off half way through my sentence, I thought you were just
telling me your life story about how you got your oven techniques or something. No, and
then sometimes, when the girls have friends round from school and your trying to cook
loads of things at once or a party, youre doing it again. So weve got a tray and two
pizzas and Barrys going to cut the pizza in half yes like so and we are going to try and
fit both of these pizzas on this one tray. Apparently one goes like this that aint going
to fit, that aint going to fit. Then the other one goes, no, oh no, our tray is too small
for this. Oh Mrs Barry your just right there all you could see was your head then going
like this, umm weve just thought urg, we just thought that the actual tray that the balloon
is on, yes, we are oing to use that, its really good, its our favourite tray. We have do we

in the fridge that was definitely worked, Im going to eat that now. One like that yep,

Its good look only slightly over lapping on the crust, my other back up pan for that was
to actually cut it even more in to like loads of wedges kind of like a puzzle so it like
all joins together. Thats a really good idea if youve only got a square one like us thats
what you could do, yeah that was my back up but we did have this bigger tray. So that
well we might as well cook it now but it does work. Its potato for lunch baby, its what?
Pizza we just put pizza in the oven why are you saying were gonna, the drugs are wearing
off. Whys that so funny? Why did you, we didnt even rehearse that though we didnt, we dont
rehearse you can probably tell. Oh my gosh, Im spending too much time with you. Whoa whoa
whoa Mrs Barry, look at my top, you have just missed a very funny scene in fact I have captured
it on are vlog channel which will be up the same day this is up loaded. Look, I was, yeah
look, I look over we know Mrs Barrys been munching on the chocolate there did I just
do that whole pizza scene with this on me. I dont know, it wasnt there look go like that
so people can see as well. Look I havent been eating it I promise, its where I moved it.
I thought has Mrs Barry somehow developed a mole, no, remember we moved the tray and
I had it all on my hand and it somehow got on near my mouth. Did you put the tray by
your mouth? No I wiped my face like that, youve been eating chocolate , no I havent.
Our next one involves cream, it does, our next two actually they do yeah they are going
to come together before the finale with the balloon ball. So for this hack you need a
paper platew and a electric whisk which Mrs Barry did not accidently turn on off camera
and nearly chop her hand off right. No I was trying to get this out. So what you do is
you pierce a hole through like that and I guess we need to kind of, do we need to line
it up roughly? We do dont we, yeah, we are otherwise were going to have one really far
away and one not so, lets get one in. Errh, its about there watch the cream, there we
go right so its like this apparently. In it goes, alright Im not yeah part of me thinks
it’s just going to fling the plate off but they are pierced in quite well, oh yeah thats
why youre holding it and Im going to run. Im quite well if Im holding it Im safe if
its coming off its going straight for you good call. Kind of like odd job from James
Bond. Ready? Oh you didnt put them in tight enough, you donkey. Yes that one works a charm
no splatter we put it in a deliberately smaller bowl when we, whats the matter, nothing, was
just about to say Barry its gone everywhere. No its not it has worked, but I think we should
add some icing sugar now. I was just about to say that I think we should just do a bowl
of icing sugar anyway cos it just goes everywhere. If this works we are going to do this loads
going forward and people will be like what and then we will refer back to this video
then theyll be like oh. But we do actually need the cream still for are final hack so
were going to finish whipping that up first. But sorry during that whipping stage as I
showed you, how good does this pizza look, that was awesome, very good yeah. You were
going to do this one, Im abit busy, alright then Ill do it. So were going to try give
this a go with making some butter cream which when I make it icing sugar goes everywhere.
Actually if you want evidence of how cloudy it can get the video thats going up on Tuesday,
our Halloween video thats a good example of that. Ok, ready yeah go. Hahaha its kind of
working I got shot icing sugar at at first but I think if you did really hold it down
go on then alright. I cant, the only problem is you cant actually see whats going on in
the bowl so I cant see, yeah youre just whisking one point. Alright go again, hold that bit
down there. Thats not working, no, and where im moving the whisk its making the holes bigger
so bits of icing sugar are coming out. The icing sugar hasnt gone everywhere up in the
sky, no, no but I mean its just gone down wards so its just gone in one spot, yeah youre
not inhaling it your just antiquing it yeah. Our next hack involves the cream that weve
just whipped up right oooh yeah it does. So Ive got a mug of hot chocolate here and a
cookie cutter, what could we be doing? Putting cream on top of the cookie cutter, yeah, lets
do that. Im just going to put this out there, Im going to have to hold that whilst scooping
cream so you cant do it on your own cos if I was just to let this go, let it go no, yeah
it wouldnt really work so well, its just going to sink. And you also said that the whipped
cream the spray stuff might work better. Yes, we do have some of that, we do we might have
to try that. We got the spray cream there just in case to one side, ok hang on, right
Im just going to dollop it in like this, yeah just let it elevate. Its so hot its just going
to melt, oh no, maybe I ned to put it in a little bit, go on then put it in. this isnt
really working no this is not, I think we might need to try it with squirty cream oh
wow weve got a floater. Were try it with the errh spray cream instead hahaha right weve
got to be doing something wrong what we cant let the drink call down because that would
defeat the object of having a hot chocolate right lift that off, errh no thats a funny
shaped heart. Its just turned into a massive blob of cream, errh it does kind of look like
an iceberg so titanic themed hot chocolate, iceberg right ahead. Doodoodooo oh yeah, it
does actually look like a hot air balloon it looks like Halloween cos its an orange
balloon and its, that does not look like Halloween no but it looks like it could be used for
Halloween. Shes obsessed with it, shes like, I love it its very cool, shall I hold it or
something? Ohhh, arrrh, yes yes I should of probably done that upside down but yes you
should of, no its stuck to the cello tape. Its alright look, but can we get the balloon
out? Oh yeah hahaha, alright so maybe it hasnt been left in as long as it should, yeah maybe
like overnight would of giving you a perfectly set, yeah, but the theory it does work, turn
it upside down and pop it before you do that we just wanted to get it out. And also the
balloon is still stuck in the bottom, it has, so fill it with ice cream, cake cream, all
that stuff. Were going to put ours in the fridge so we can actually use it and not waste
it but um its pretty cool. I think the girls will love this when they get home. Yeah you
could do it on a mini version with like water balloons in fact Im going to put that in my
