Welcome to a new video… …after I showed you a recipe for red cabbage with apples… …in the last video… …in today’s episode I will show you another delicious side dish… …we will cook bread dumplings today… …first peel an onion and chop finely… …then heat up a small pan adding a tablespoon of clarified butter… …and lightly sautée the onions… …for about 2 – 3 minutes over medium heat until glassy… …stirring occasionally… …once the onions are glassy remove the pan from the stove and allow them to cool a bit… …next halve 4 bread rolls from the previous day and cut into thin slices… …then give 2 eggs, a generous pinch of salt, a generous pinch of pepper… …and ½ teaspoon of nutmeg into a high vessel… …and whisk together with a fork… …finally chop finely ½ bunch of fresh parsley… …now give the bread roll slices along with the onions… …the egg mixture, 150 milliliters of milk & the finely chopped parsley into a mixing bowl… …and start kneading with your hands… …until everything is well combined… …and you got such a mushy but still shapeable dumpling dough… …if the dough seems to be too moist… …add some flour here… …then successively form… …6 – 8 dumplings using your hands… …then heat up a large pot of salted water… …once the water starts boiling… …reduce the heat… …so that the water is only slightly simmering… …add the dumplings… …and allow the dumplings to simmer until done for about 20 minutes… …after 20 minutes lift out the done dumplings using a ladle… …and serve… …I wish you lots of fun cooking & see you next video!
